There’s something intriguing about skin scents—the kind of fragrances that don’t walk into a room before you do, but instead stay close, almost like a quiet signature. I’ve always been drawn to perfumes that feel intimate like this, the kind that people only notice when they’re near enough.
Two that gave me very different impressions are Rouge and Beige 96. Even though both fall into that “close-to-skin” category, the mood they create couldn’t be more different.

1. Rouge

Rouge feels like warmth with a bit of mystery tucked inside. The first time I wore it, I noticed how it didn’t rush to reveal itself. It slowly settled into something soft yet slightly intense, like a whisper that still manages to hold attention. There’s a gentle sweetness in it, but not the sugary kind—it leans more into a smooth, almost glowing warmth. What I enjoy most is how it evolves throughout the day. At times, it feels cozy, almost like being wrapped in something familiar.

2. Beige 96

Beige 96 gives off a completely different energy. Where Rouge feels warm and slightly intense, Beige 96 feels airy and relaxed. It reminds me of soft fabrics, clean skin, and quiet mornings. The scent sits very close, almost blending into your natural smell rather than covering it. There’s a subtle elegance to it that doesn’t try to impress. It’s the kind of fragrance I’d reach for when I want to feel put together without thinking too much about it.
Choosing between them isn’t really about which one is better—it’s more about the mood you want to carry. Some days call for a quiet glow, others for a soft, barely-there presence. And that’s the beauty of it.
